PMMNG member, Nancy Stewart, was honored as the Patient Representative during the Opening Ceremony of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Light the Night Celebration in Philadelphia on October 28, 2017. Here are some photos from the ceremony.

PMMNG member, Nancy Stewart, recently was named as the 2018 Philadelphia Light the Night Honored Hero.

Nancy was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2008, and underwent treatment to get it into remission. Then in 2016 she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). She underwent additional treatment that got the ALL into remission, but the Multiple Myeloma relapsed during that time. She is currently undergoing monoclonal antibody treatment for the multiple myeloma.

PMMNG's Nancy Stewart has written a marvelous article, "Demystifying Meditation," about the role that mediation has played in her life. Meditation has been a key factor in helping Nancy deal with her multiple myeloma diagnosis and treatment, and, more recently, her Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia  (ALL) diagnosis and treatment.
