Nancy Stewart Is Honored by Light the Night
PMMNG member, Nancy Stewart, recently was named as the 2018 Philadelphia Light the Night Honored Hero.
Nancy was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2008, and underwent treatment to get it into remission. Then in 2016 she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). She underwent additional treatment that got the ALL into remission, but the Multiple Myeloma relapsed during that time. She is currently undergoing monoclonal antibody treatment for the multiple myeloma.
Nancy is an inspiration to many of us in the PMMNG, with her resilience, optimism, sense of humor, and advocacy. You may be the Honored Hero, Nancy, but we in the PMMNG are honored to have you in our "family!"
Light The Night is a series of fundraising campaigns benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) funding of research to find blood cancer cures. Philadelphia's 2018 Light the Night will be held Saturday October 27 at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
