Our next monthly PMMNG meeting will be Saturday July 13, 2024 from 1:30-3:00 PM ET. This meeting with be conducted by Zoom.

Our speaker this month is Ruby Nava-Ramos who is Senior Manager, Patient & Community Outreach at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). She will be speaking about patient education resources available through the LLS - locally, online, and regionally. She will also speak in-depth about their information specialists.

This meeting will also include our usual small group breakout sessions.  Please bring any questions you may have about your journey with myeloma.  In addition, while the meeting itself will begin at 1:30, we will be starting the Zoom at 1:00 pm for anyone interested in having a little more time to talk to one another informally or ask questions. As always, patients and care partners are welcome to attend. 

Ruby Nava-Ramos, MPH is a dedicated Public Health Professional with a Master's in Public Health (MPH) from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor's in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State University. With over five years of experience navigating healthcare resources, she is dedicated to advancing health equity and creating strong community outreach with healthcare organizations. Currently serving as the Patient & Community Outreach Manager at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, she directs her efforts to fostering collaboration among blood cancer professionals across 10+ cancer centers and hospitals and curating impactful visual resources for diverse audiences. She believes that strong patient-advocacy, a compassionate healthcare team and community-wide awareness of blood cancers can lead to a better outcome for not only blood cancer patients but is a model that can help all individuals impacted by life-altering conditions.

***Please make a note that our October meeting is changed from the second Saturday to the first Saturday on October 5, 2024, as the Jewish holiday, Yom Kippur, falls on the second Saturday.

Another Note: The LLS is hosting its Virtual National Blood Cancer Conference Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 11:30 am - 3:30 pm, ET. Although some of that time conflicts with our PMMNG monthly meeting, the LLS will make a recording of their meeting available after the meeting.
