Who coordinates the Miles for Myeloma 5K Walk/Run?
The M4M 5K is a regional (and annual) event coordinated and presented by the members of the Philadelphia Multiple Myeloma Networking Group. Each of the committee members volunteer many hours of time and energy to make the event successful and fun.
Who is the beneficiary?
The beneficiary of the Miles For Myeloma 5K walk/run is the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF). This organization is dedicated to improving the quality of life for myeloma patients while working towards prevention and a cure. Most importantly, the IMF continues to fund the most promising research initiatives worldwide and are committed to providing the most up-to-date and in-depth information about multiple myeloma to patients, caregivers and medical professionals.
Are volunteers able to register and solicit pledges?
Yes! Volunteers are strongly encouraged to register for the event as well as solicit pledges for their volunteer time. A pledge sheet is available under the registration section of the website.
How do I make a donation if I cannot attend the event and/or wish to support an individual or team?
Every year, the fundraiser establishes an online site through which you may donate to the event. Easy-to-follow links allow you to donate to an individual or a team.
OR You may mail donations (checks only) from yourself or other donors. Please ensure that donated checks are made payable to: International Myeloma Foundation c/o PMMNG 5K. To donate by check, please write in memo line: the name of the team or participant whom you are donating. Please address the mail to:
