We will be holding our next regular monthly Philadelphia Multiple Myeloma Networking Group (PMMNG) meeting on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 1:30-3:00 PM EDT via Zoom.  Our speaker will be Grace Allison from the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF). She will be speaking about how to interpret and understand lab test results and the general topic of living with multiple myeloma. After Grace's presentation there will be an open meeting, so be prepared with your questions for discussion. Grace has kindly agreed to stay for the meeting to answer questions in her capacity as an oncology nurse and patient navigator.

Grace Allison has been a registered nurse for more than 30 years. She spent 29 years working at the Myeloma program at The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She was fortunate to have spent her career at UAMS under the tutelage of one of the most well-known myeloma physicians, Dr. Bart Barlogie. She received her nursing education in Ireland, where she is from originally, and completed a Bachelor of Nursing degree at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock (UALR). She is a long-time member of the Oncology Nursing Society and is an Oncology Certified Nurse. She is also a board certified medical surgical nurse (RB-BC). She started at the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) in the summer of 2020, where she is a Patient Navigator. In 2022, she was nominated for one of the CURE ® Extraordinary Healer Award for her work with myeloma patients.

While the meeting itself will begin at 1:30, we will be starting the Zoom at 1:00 pm for anyone interested in having a little more time to talk to one another informally or ask questions.

Please note that we are peers, not doctors. So please be sure and discuss anything you hear in the meeting that might change your own considerations regarding treatment or side effects with your own doctor(s).

All PMMNG members will receive a meeting invitation via email.  If you are new to the group or our meetings, contact Barbara Falkowitz (b[email protected]) to receive the meeting link.

We look forward to seeing you on Zoom!
