February 2026 PMMNG Meeting - Update from ASH 2024 by Dr Edward Stadtmauer

Dr. Edward Stadtmauer

We will be holding our next regular monthly Philadelphia Multiple Myeloma Networking Group (PMMNG) meeting on Saturday, February 14, 2026 (Valentine's Day!) from 1:30-3:00 PM EST via Zoom.  Our meeting will feature an update on the American Society for Hematology (ASH) 2025 conference, which was held in Orlando, FL in December. The ASH annual meeting is always a well anticipated and well attended meeting with lots of important information about new trials and drugs coming out to treat MM. We are fortunate to have Dr. Edward Stadtmauer from UPenn giving us his "Best Of" picks from ASH.

Dr. Edward Stadtmauer is Chief of the Hematologic Malignancies Section within the Division of Hematology-Oncology, Department of Medicine of the Perelman School of Medicine, at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. He is also the Co-Leader of the Abramson Cancer Center Hematologic Malignancies Research Program and the Penn Medicine Hematologic Malignancies Translational Center of Excellence. He has been associated with the University for over 30 years. He was the Co-Chairman of the Bone Marrow Transplant Committee of the NCI-funded Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) for ten years and is a member of the Myeloma and Leukemia Core Committees. He has been associated with the Center for International Bone Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) for over a decade with leadership positions including chair of the nominating committee, co-chair Solid Tumor Working Committee and member of the Clinical Trials Advisory Committee. He is also a founding member of the Steering Committee of the NIH-sponsored Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinical Trial Network (BMT CTN) and elected to serve as Chairman in 2022. He is also a member of the International Myeloma Working Group (IMWG).

While the meeting itself will begin at 1:30, we will be starting the Zoom at 1:00 pm for anyone interested in having a little more time to talk to one another informally or ask questions

All PMMNG members will receive a meeting invitation via email.  If you are new to the group or our meetings, contact Barbara Falkowitz (b[email protected]) to receive the meeting link.

Don't forget that March is Myeloma Action Month! Various sites in Philadelphia will be glowing RED in honor of Multiple Myeloma. More info will be available with the dates to look for those red lights glowing for MM!

We look forward to seeing you on Zoom!
