September 2019 - "Light the Night and Other Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Programs for Myeloma Patients and Caregivers", Megan Smith

LLS logoThe speaker for our September 14, 2019 meeting will be Megan Smith from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). Megan will provide us information about the upcoming "Light the Night" event. She also will update us on other LLS programs for patients and caregivers. It is especially timely for Megan to speak at our September meeting since September is "Blood Cancer Awareness Month."

As you may know, one of the LLS's most important programs is the LLS Co-Pay Assistance Program, which provides direct financial support to insured patients, who are financially and medically qualified, for pharmaceutical treatments and/or prescription medication co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles related to their diagnosis. So if you have questions about this program, this will be a great opportunity to get those questions answered.

Megan is the Patient & Community Outreach Manager for Eastern Pennsylvania at the LLS.

In addition, members of the PMMNG Steering Committee will update meeting attendees and solicit everyone's input on the two finalists in the search for a new location for PMMNG meetings. The need for a new location has been brought on by changes in the legal and financial requirements of our staying at the Ralston House.

Please come and join us for this informative meeting.
